To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Specialist with the ambition to grow within the field and contribute to the further professionalization of our financial processes.

Your role as Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will be part of the finance team and work closely with colleagues from Business Control, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. You will support the preparation of financial reports, analyses, and process improvements. You will report to a Senior Financial Controller or the Financial Director (depending on experience) and will be given plenty of room to learn and take initiative.

  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing;

  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports and analysis;

  • Monitoring the accounts payable and accounts receivable administration;

  • Collaborating on the creation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts;

  • Identifying and helping to improve (inefficient) processes;

  • Supporting internal and external audits;

  • Acting as a sparring partner for colleagues within and outside the finance team.

Job requirements

We are looking for

  • A completed HBO (University of Applied Sciences) degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy;

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a financial role;

  • You are accurate and have strong analytical skills;

  • An affinity for working in a scale-up or dynamic work environment;

  • Proficient in Excel and preferably have experience with ERP systems;

  • Can communicate well in both Dutch and English;

  • Are eager to learn, proactive, and a team player;

  • Experience in international logistics is a plus.

We offer

  • A good salary between €3,500 and €5,000 per month, depending on your experience.

  • A 36 to 40-hour per week one-year contract with the flexibility to work partly from home.
