Your role as Procurement Coordinator

Our procurement department plays a key role in purchasing the right services within the logistics process for our customers. This team selects the most suitable suppliers for the operational process, negotiates purchase rates, and sets the sales rates for our customers. Providing the best possible customer service is central to all of this.

In this role, you will be the connecting link and contribute to managing the purchasing processes and increasing customer satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will support the procurement team in their daily work and assist with administrative tasks. Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate: You will act as a satellite function for the procurement department in the head office. Check if every booking is linked to the right contract, optimize where possible.

  • Purchasing & Benchmarking: You will obtain and evaluate quotes to ensure the best terms. You will benchmark received quotes and provide feedback to our suppliers. After approving quotes, you will ensure accurate processing of contracts in the Shypple platform.

  • Pricing Operations: You will be responsible for sales rates & tariffs in China/Asia. You will ensure that sales rates and tariffs for China prepaid business are provided to the China pricing team.

  • Supplier Support: You will assist in evaluating suppliers and collect performance data for quarterly reviews. You will also actively contribute to recruiting and recommending new suppliers.

  • Contract Management: You will ensure that all contracts are signed, archived, and updated in the Shypple platform in accordance with our KPIs.

    You will also have ample opportunity to take on additional tasks and further develop yourself.


Job requirements

What you’ll bring

  • You have experience in the freight forwarding industry;

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field;

  • You have a good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written;

  • You can gather relevant information, identify core issues, and link data to decision-making;

  • You can articulate your thoughts clearly and adapt your language accordingly, whether you're speaking with a supplier or a colleague;

  • You actively contribute to team goals and drive projects forward.
