At Shypple, we're building the future of digital freight forwarding—and that starts with people. We believe that every great product, every happy customer, and every big leap forward is powered by exceptional individuals. That’s why our hiring process is designed to be as thoughtful, transparent, and human as the people we’re looking to hire. *This is our standard hiring process, though it may vary slightly depending on the role.

Step 1: Getting to know you 👋

Kick off with a video call to chat about your background, interests, and what you're looking for in your next role. We’ll share: - What it's like to work at Shypple - Answer any questions you have - Cover key details like availability and salary expectations No pressure—just a friendly introduction to see if there's a fit.

Step 2: Meet your future team and show your skills🤝🔧

Meet your future team lead and teammates to dive deeper into your experience and the role. This stage might include a case study or a challenge inspired by real projects at Shypple — nothing tricky, just a chance to show how you think and collaborate. For example, for developer roles, this could be a coding challenge or a technical case.

Step 3: The offer 🎉

If we’re a match—great news! We’ll move forward with an offer.

You’ll receive a clear overview of your compensation package, benefits, and everything you need to know to make an informed decision.

I just submitted my application. Now what? 

Have a tiny bit of patience 😉 We aim to respond to everyone within one week. Then we’ll let you know if we’d like to set up a call, if we need more information from you, or if we have decided not to move forward with your candidacy. 

How do I know if my application has been received in good order? 

Once you have applied, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Didn't receive one? Then please contact us

How should I prepare for the interview?

Before your interview, we recommend taking another look at the vacancy—and spend some time exploring Shypple online. Check out our Linkedin and our website to get a feel for who we are, what we’re building, and how we work together.

Come prepared with your own questions too! This is as much about you getting to know us as it is the other way around.

How long does the interview process take end-to-end? 

We like to move fast—our process typically takes about two weeks from first conversation to offer. However, this can vary depending on things like availability (yours or ours) or time needed to complete an assignment or case study.

Either way, we’ll keep you informed at every step. Your recruiter will make sure you always know where you stand in the process. 

🔍 What do you evaluate during the interviews?

We look for a potential long-term match during interviews. We'll assess you on passion, drive, and the willingness to 'own your shop'. We look to add change-makers who grow based on 'learning-while-doing', and who enjoy working together to make great things happen.

Do I need to go to the office everyday?

We follow a hybrid model that balances flexibility with connection — while you can manage your own schedule, teams typically come together in our offices 2–3 days a week to collaborate, share ideas, and keep the team spirit strong. There are some exceptions to this approach — for example, our office at Schiphol follows a different routine and works from the office (almost) every day.

🌍 Do you offer visa sponsorship?

Yes, we do! We offer visa sponsorship for candidates from any country of origin, but it’s currently available only for specific roles.

At Shypple, we always prefer you to relocate to Rotterdam for better collaboration. For development roles, if you're based within the EU, working remotely is possible. However, for candidates outside the EU, relocating to Rotterdam is a must. To support your move, we provide a relocation package to help you settle in.

We’ll also take into account the complexity and timeline of the visa process when making our decision.
